Rules are rules!

But it depends who you are????

ELSA do you not realise the consequences if that 13 yr old boy was hurt? The main London league has always excluded minors. IE. under 16's! KAMPI are strict on this and on Sunday, someone mentioned on the forum that Mustre Jr came on to play...why did ELSA allow this? He's good? Fantastic! Someone to look out to in the future...in the future! For now he should prove himself in the youth league...then in the Pro League...someone we can be proud of in the future?

ML were told that they can't add a player. Different rule for ML and different for EPSOM? Or did Epsom had the Mustre's name on the lineup submitted at the beginning?

Arya Abra wanted to field a new player called Danny Alcantara but Fil-Agency refused. Why? He did not have the proper uniform. But half-way thru the match, Arya Abra pointed out that one of the Fil-Agency players was not wearing a proper uniform either, although the matching colours.

Advantage Fil-Agency?

If we are going to stop ex-pro's from playing then we should also stop players taller than 6ft 4. Because they have more advantage than ex-pros.

If there are gonna be rules, they should be written down and adhered to.

all goes to prove the corruptness of this league that ive been talking about for so long.. both kampi and kapis (the bulk of the committee are all the same... you wont even realise the difference).

So theres one rule for one and another rule for another team... when will somebody stand up against these corrupt oldies and actually make their views known??? They should take a leaf out of PSUK and see that the organisers there dont care if ur an ex pro or the best player on the team... if you break the rules... you aint playing... simple as...

I get the feeling that its one rule for all and one rule for EPSOM!!! hahaha the kampi/kapis love them... I've never seen so much bum licking from the committee everytime epsom are around. With all due respect to epsom.. they are an excellent team but i get the feeling that the committee are very biased towards certain teams and epsom are one of those that they are biased to....

I'am very disappointed with the results of our game. I feel sorry for my players who trained and practice very hard every wednesday. Next time again Boyz.

First of all, Can i just say i respect ESPSOM team. But, this year I've lost it, They have Ex-pros playing for there team and ref on there side and yet they cheat. If they are true champion prove it. They play us twice and on those two occasion they bring in NEW players and EX PRO. Are they scared of loseing against us or they cant play without BARVO and CARMONA. Because I beleive that we can beat then fair and square. Let then prove that they are a true champion and playing even without there PRO.

The Ref. My GOD could Kampi/Elsa send them to a profer referee training or to specsavers too. They made a crucial mistake in our two games against EPSOM and both a crucial call. 1st Back court in our 1st game in the last 20 sec or so... Second game Foul counted In last 15 seconds as well, for a chance to tie the game or win. I complained the ref dont want to know about it.

With regards to Rules,Twice to beat, uniforms, Line up It's all full of Bxxxxxxxt. they got there money they dont want to know about it anymore. Different rules in every team.

It's all corrupt now. I thought we left it in Phil.

I agree with all your sentiments coach... You need to do something either get ur money back or get epsom disqaulified coz I cant stand all this injustice with the way filipino's run things like this... it is a disgrace to the filipino name and its what makes filipinos look bad...

the problem here issssss. we cant; beat epsom that is why they are getting into our nerves and even the commitee who seem to be fair is being blamed.

why not get this ex pros divided into different teams?

Marco with all due respect to you--- I can tell you havent been in London for long that you have not witnessed that this problem has been an ongoing problem for years long before epsom... I was still 9 or 10 when I used to watch basketball back then and it was probably worse then... There used to be fights/"rambols" in nearly all games and you would always have betting on games going on amongst committee members and audiences... Do you not think if the organisers were 100% fair.. People would still be complaining? Of course not... But the thing is... They are not fair... Every year they come up with these brand new rules when they have their pre-league meetings... Then when it comes to playoff time, they end up changing the rules/format of the playoffs and totally contradicted what they said in the beginning... No one really benefits apart from the team they would like to see win...

I've had enough of this... I feel to report them to Newham council and the sports lottery fund for corruptness and ripping people off!!! Lol!!!

Marco, Are you implying that we cant beat EPSOM. With all respect to EPSOM. we played them twice and twice we where cheated by the ref. And twice they bring in new players, Not only new but. Ex pro's. Did you watch our games against them and the results? furious.gif

We dont mind playing them with there EX-PRO. But, dont add the Commitee and REF.

I totally agree with you guys.. Its not about EPSOM being unbeatable.. (I'm pretty sure there are a few teams who has beaten them before in KAMPI/KAPIS even with ex-PROs and refs on their side).. It's about how  the officials run the league. It's about time that someone has to stand up against the "Corrupt" committee. We all love to play or watch the game This sort of "political and unjust" issue take away the fun from it all..

League officials... GISING!!!!!!!

Ardy Santos of Fil-Agency was not told of any meeting nor was I. I was always in contact with ELSA well before the Qtr-Finals, they repeatedly explained that the Twice to beat rule will go up to the semi-final if not needed in the quarter final.

We can only wait and see what happens on Sunday to decide what action, if any, should be taken before the final.

I feel what most of you are complaining about, but like someone has mentioned. There is no point for us all complaining in this forum becoz it just stays here. People need to stand up and let the commitee know what a lot of people feel about their f*@$~+g rules!!!! At the end of da day y'all can complain and their not gona do anything about it coz ur still gonna join the next league.

I think that the only way for them to realise that they need to act and change is for teams to stop playing in their leagues and move on to a different league. Thats the only way they will take these complaints seriously.......... Dont u guys think!!!

Well Guys.. finally signed up to this well.. Im one of the team leaders at Tail Blazers camp...i did attend a meeting with a few of my team members at the beginning (way back in January), i remember not a lot of team representatives were not present at this "Committee meeting", where the officials went over the rules. This twice to beat business was mentioned by Mr. Umali and Co. My tagalog aint that good, but from what i understood the twice to beat scenario would stand if a team was unbeaten. Well other teams can dispute that, but if your team rep was not at that meeting, well all i can say is "tough luck".

I am not going to mention anything about the Comittee's corrupt views on the league. This is not the first nor will it be the last. Two Seasons ago at the first ELSA Kapis league held at Langdon school, All teams signed documents stating if a fight broke out during the game if both teams joined in the fight both teams would be kicked out. My team "Young Guns" won the 3rd place spot. A fight broke out between Shohoku & Snipers. Both teams jumped in the fight. Shouldn't of both been disqualifed, Nope... play on is what the officials say. Meaning Young Guns would of been handed the title.
Comparing that to last years fiasco in Kampi with Sunics & Epsom yes players got banned but were they banned only because TFC was there broadcasting back home, making Kampi Liga / UK Filipino Basketball a laughing stock? i think so.
I dont know who mentioned it but Kampi & Kapis both have the same Committee, thats true. A few different people here and there but still the same faces you see every Summer & Winter. Summer & Winter league some rules are different - Non filipinos players- but still the same bent and corrupted views of the officials! If its not Epsom.. your not worthy. They seem to think the EX- PBA players can bring more people to watch.

"Oh Wow.. Ex PBA... they should be good!!" is the expression ive heard from people.

Been watching UK Filipino Basketball in the east for just under 10yrs, seen some great teams win the league, seen some great teams been cheated all i can say to the Committee is...

Stop With the BullSh*t...Play / Sponsor Great Basketball... Let the ball settle disputes... AND HIRE OFFICIAL REFEREE'S.. No More Biased Ref's... It's what makes the game less enjoyable .

Also Coach.. do we have to take the Ref's to Specsavers... i think they get Group Discount.

dazed_as_usual is a 'wasteman', cap'naww
as for that call i noticed it most of the season, the refs do not call the and1 unless the fould happened in the air, not in the motion of shootin. our player had left his feet when the blow the wistle and was letting go of the ball for his shot, but yet they said an inbound ball which was just wrong. i also thought that all a teams players for the play offs had to be present to atleast 1 season game to play. epsom had quite a few newbies, but we were still capable of winning, just bad luck in the second half.
i did prefer playing last year when the hired Ref's becuase there was little to no bias, but what'cha gonna do?
