haha...yeh. thats funny. all the other guy ever added was "bullst". dont even know what he was refering to, the refereeing? the fact whether mustre was in the lineup? games fixed/biased? didnt have anything intelligent to add in the discussion.

although in regards to the refereeing, i agree with what was said. i think the refs make mistakes, poor performance sometimes and that's that. its difficult to judge whether they're biased or not.

but what a waste epsom not turning up. maybe trailblazers shouldve turned up

ELSA were unprepared when I asked them for an interview and nor are they used to interviews. We write in this Forum with all the time in the world and think what we have to write. ELSA done it in less than 5-minutes just before the overtime period started, so they should be forgiven for being lost for words.

I agree with their comments about the referees. Mistakes can be made and not easily rectified on the spot. But I am sure, they try to rectify that mistake somehow. Most of the refs are very experienced but one definetely needs some updating! Understand the term "LEAD" when referreing. It means the ref closest to where the ball or incident is happening blows his whistle and not the ref on the other side.

Whether ELSA succumb to pressure from this Forum or not is debatable. But what an example this was to prove they are not biased against or in favour of any team. In the semi-finals, Epsom declared losers by forfeit.

Epsom were not the only losers here. ML were also disappointed that they did not play. Basketball fans also lost out. Me and Joey amongst those. hmm

Its obvious Editor, that the committee did succumb to pressure from this Forum. What other league would forfeit a semifinal? They were trying to prove a point that they are not biased towards Epsom. In a way you have to feel sorry for Epsom, coz due to comments made on this forum, they have been victimised on this occasion by the commitee. Im pretty sure there have been occassions during the eliminations where a team has been late but they have waited. I believe that the Epsom players arrived a few minutes after the ball was tossed in the air. Im pretty sure the commitee were in contact with Epsom before that.

I would like to see how the final turns out. Whether it is a fair game or not. If the columbians win it would the first time an all non filipino team has won. We'll have to wait and see.........

Ohhhhh. I just saw the interview on the Kapis site. It's quite funny. Firstly, what a good way to even make the public lose their trust with the organisers by claiming "we are chatting bull****"... If they want us to warm to them and make us believe that they are acting in our best interest then there was no need to swear at us too!!!

I agree that the organisers put in alot of their time and effort to make this league work and that is quite admirable, but what they need to do is get the basics right... E.g. Stick to the rules and dont change it half way through the season. Register with the English Basketball governing body and most importantly be open to criticism and feedback rather than slag the us off for venting our views on this forum...

Its quite funny seeing the "chairman" just repeating everything that Mr Umali is saying... Who is actually the chairman???

And can i just ask... what did he mean by "this is not a commercial league" How can it not be a commercial league with the amount of sponsorship they get from filipino businesses... I reckon we should get to see their annual report to show to us where the money exatly goes to? Are they telling me that they actually use the money from their own pockets to go towards the league? Yeah right...

well i chatted to the chairman on sunday! and i told him everything francis told me, and he said he will get francis to chat to me, which didnt happen!

again i will say as a reply to francis bulls**t comment about what has been said on here!

yea it is true we gave them some more time to get here considering the area they are comming from, but all of my team is from west london and we always get there on time or at least have a team there ready to play. the game was suppose to start at 12pm! in the season first game starts at 10am which epsom most likely had some games at that time.so there shouldnt really be any excuse to be late to a 12pm game.

when the forfeit time came i got my team together and we dicussed about what should we do? take the forfiet or play? and most of my team said lets just take the win, we have nothing to prove to anyone we just play by rules that has been made.

mr editor i duno if i told you this but your comment before about you talking to the commitee and saying they said that the twice to beat still is in play was actuallly wrong! we didnt have that advantage no more !

ive never commented about the ref's becuase i dont really have a problem with them!!!! just two of them!! the young guy who chats on the mic sometimes is a good ref and the new guy who has only been doing the league for while is good aswell!

I dont know about you dude, but I would prefer to get to the final by winning rather than a technicality. I know you are undefeated and all, but so were the Draven and look what happened there. You never know what will happen in a one off game. I can understand you taking the forfeit though, at least that way there is no chance of the game being cooked, if you know what I mean. Im sure you would of won the game anyway, but at least that way when you win the championship you could of said we are without a doubt the best. Apparently a lot of people came to see a good game aswell.

Anyway good luck for the final man. Keep the championship Philly.

yes i agree with you totally! thats one of the reasons why i got my team together to ask them what we should do caz i want to feel like a real winner if we win this sunday! some wanted to play but most said that we had nothing to prove to anyone and just said go along with what the commitee is saying!

whatever happens anyway weather we win or lose we wont be in the league next year!!!!

you might see a different team but not an ML one!

Appologies for my late response/comments Mr. Editor and everybody.

First of all. I must say that Mr. Rene and Mr Umali was taken by suprise when they had this interview. So we have to understand, why they are talking like that. At least they gave us some answers. I hope they could elaborate more here in this FORUM. If i'm not mistaken they know about this site. Am i right MR Editor?

But, there are some things not clear to me. like, No mention of TTB ( K, this is still a mystery, whats the truth about this or shall we all forget it?)

What do they mean by not a commercial League?

TIME,TIME and time again Chairman say 30 mins. Mr. umali say's 35 min. HMmmmmm

I admire the sportmanship of ML for giving EPSOM a second chance and your dis apointment.

I want some more clarrification on other issues. Dont want to mention it anymore, too long to mention. And I'm gonna be late for work.
