Does anybody know which teams have confirmed and how many for ELSA? The league starts Feb 8...Last time I heard, there was 8 teams confirmed, hope theres more, since the entrance fee has increased to 500..

This ELSA league is a joke!
£500 to play 7 games?

Obviously more if u make play-offs.
But no thanks.
We'll wait for KAMPI, if it still goes ahead?!?

Would still like to play tho, so if any1 is looking for a Small Forward??

Hey Dax,

U can scrimage wid us, depends wer u live tho. We practice at Stratford on Thursdays. Are u filipino? If ur 6'1 then u'll have to play center coz us pinoys are only small dude.
If u think u have game then bring it!! biggrin

im from cambridge, about 45mins drive to east london..sorry but im not a center my buddy mr gener tuazon usually play as our center in our team here in cambridge and milton keynes.. wink

Did anyone go to the KAPIS meeting regarding extending the league till Summer??
Anyone know what was discussed? Or is it the usual case when we find out that changes have been made on the day!?!

yup!!!cambridge league will kick off on may 9, 2009..only all filipino..there are 7 teams joining now.. wink

yes i have the number of the commisioner...the teams i know are stevenage, cambridge lions, herbal life team, bankeros, anthony driving school, haverhill, i dont about london harlow if they join the league..

b 21..i play this morning in elsa with abs and we played against london elite,.they said london elite and sunics are just the same team..you have a very good team and i like your team aggressiveness in the court..cheers mate..

yo dax who won d game?? yes london elite n sunics are almost the same players ,,they are good kinda but some of the players talk too much LOL and i dont call that aggressiveness ...
so pretty tall for a shooting guard... bet your good from downtown...

True, we do have 4 players from SUNICS in London Elite. U like our aggresiveness hey, what can I say, we've got a competitive spirit and a drive to win! biggrin

So which number was u on Sunday? One who kept gunnin 3s all day? We should have won but we lacked some defensiveness from some of our players ...not to take anything away from you's of course... aww Good game altogether.

Will see u on a court soon!

yes mate im the one keep on shooting 3's for the whole game... blankstare yeah its a nice game for both teams ysterday..my team back home have the same way ur team doing..agrressiveness and the will to win..

in my opinion B21 you should have let the whole sunics played in elsa cause there are loads of team that will challenge the sunic defending champs... anyway i played in romford team, but sadly we played against DMCI and they are all posesed lol anyway complete sunics or epsom would be a good match with the new DMCI or jaguars but i think epsom did not join the league and sunics is not complete. see you on the court guys

Nice shooting Dax, if only some peeps in our team put a hand in ur face, it mite have been a different story.

Spiderman2, we wanted to play but paying £500 doesnt justify playin in a league like that, nuthin against them but its not as organised as KAMPI, even tho KAMPI isn't as organised either!!

But maybe this year is an exception...we'll have to wait and see on May 17th Eastlea School!!

In any case, SUNICS will see u in the league boys!!! biggrin

i understand b21 but you know sometimes its nice to see two strong teams compete not just in championship game all the way to the top, cause now a days the league is becoming boring no one wants to watch cause no thrill and excitement not a worth to watch cause you can guess the outcome, but yah i understand the fees is way to much expensive these days.. no offense but its not basketball that matter its the fees. peace

Sunics could of held there own in this league. I think Epsom didn't enter becoz they have declined in form. They won Kapis a few years ago and then last year only came 4th. I guess when its not all filipino they aren't as good. Carmona's no longer bigger than everyone else coz of people like kevin of Arya Abra and ML center. I think its cool havin a mixed league. Makes it more interesting. Im not to keen on this dribble, drive, foul mentality some of the philly's have. It may work when you call your own fouls in practice games, but not in the real world baby!!!

Anyone know what the decision was about the summer mixed league??

Oh and B21 whats this Eastlea School your talking about?? Is that the new venue for Kampi games?? Whats the court like?? Hopefully not like the bathroom flooring that Lister has!!

Eastlea Community School, Canning Town is the venue for the 2009 KAMPI League starting May 17th.
Haven't seen the Basketball Court, but from what I've heard, its much better than Lister, and comparable to Langdon, so should be decent.

As for what was said at the KAPIS meeting, I think they are doing a knock-out round for the 8 teams that make it...although there are 9 teams altogether??? Meaning 1 V 8, 2 V 7 etc. Dont even know the standings in this league.
