Players/team to watch

So who are the Players/team to watch in this league? Any new ex-FilPros? Or decent Varsity players? Who's Quimbao? Anyone pics from this league?

The league's just started, hence, too early to predict who will be the team or the player to watch. I am very delighted to inform the filipino community and basketball enthusiasts involved in this league that we managed to block book the venue for the entire 2009 season at Herschel Sports.. c",) Games played Saturdays from 2pm till 7pm.

For tidbits, Trinidad Warriors appears to be the team to beat as they are composed of selected players coming from london, liverpool, derby/birmingham. Rivera helped pool these players together. They gave a descent game against Kusinang Munti [Chertsey] whose main players include carmona, tuazon, mustre and if im not mistaken, with bravo.

However, the defending champions AIG,  known in this league as Jaguars, are likewise the team to watch. The coregroup includes sambo, ebelane, ramos i think and the towers from reading, vilela and edgar [forgot his surname] :D

Moreover, Basingstoke fielded a good team as well lead by tauro and tubesa.

To be honest, all teams are competitive at the moment as it seems, they are composed of selections from the counties they represent.

I will be updating the official website www.filipinobasketball.co.uk soon as I got the opportunity to do so.

Should you guys got the chance, this saturday's fixture's very good to watch:

HERSCHEL SPORTS, Whitby Road, Slough, SL1 3BW. Approximately 4miles away from Heathrow Airport. Easiest route is following M4 and taking the Windsor Exit.

WEEK 3 1st game KUSINANG MUNTI BASINGSTOKE
16th May 2nd game AIRSIDE TRINIDAD WARRIORS
3rd game REBELS SPEED

Having seen Mike Mustre play last Saturday wearing the Kusinang Munti jersey, surely, the Trinidad Warriors now has got another team to look out for.

As of 4th round, the following teams are worth watching:

Trinidad Warriors [selection from as far as Warrington (Quiambao), Birmingham, Derby, Milton Keynes and London]

Kusinang Munti [selection with reinforcement from Jun Carmon, Mike Mustre and Ruel Bravo]

Jaguars [powered by Ramos, Ebelane, Sambo and company]

Airside [lead by Manny Zapanta and Joey Capistrano]

Basingstoke [reinforced by Tubesa and Tauro]

Speed Money [whose players are literally unknown from any London leagues. Jr and Ben are both previous league MVP's so they are force to reckon and shouldnt be disregarded. Also, with the Batman and Robbin, they complete the dough.]

Cheers Pipz..

c",)
