The Magic 8 draw

Drawn during half-time of the Sunics vs Given game on Sunday 17th October, the 8 qualifying teams drew for their places in the Magic 8.

8 pieces of paper labelled West 1, West 2, West 3, West 4, East 1, East 2, East 3, East 4 were shuffled into a box to be drawn by a representative of each team.

As all teams were not present at that time, the KAMPI Committee offered/selected spectators to be representatives.

In full view of this draw, overlooking the table was Ray Rodriguez as adjudicator.
The results were as followed

The Nestor Cup draw

The other 5 teams also drew for their places of the Nestor Cup.

5 pieces of paper were labelled Cup 1, Cup 2, Cup 3, Cup 4 and By Cup. As there are an odd number of teams, the team that draws the By Cup automatically gains 1 win and goes through to the next round. However, they face both winners of the 2 previous Cup games.
