The Berkshire Filipino Basketball Club will officially kicks off on the 2nd of May 2009 at Herschel Sports in Slough.
16 teams have voiced interest to join already but we are still finalising entries as we might just limit the 2009 League to just 10 Teams.
As the standard of the league gone leaps and bound, stricter measures are in place as the League aims to be accredited with the England Basketball in a specific time frame.
If you have a competetive team, try to play with the best solid teams around Berkshire and the SouthEast and be the 2009 Champions.
weheyyyy we're finally gonna see some pictures of the winners of last year's tournie!!! Just wanna see how chunky that Manny Zapanta is now. Can you post the results and awardees? on a separate thread please? Berkshire league results 2008. Appreciate it. Tnx.

Indeed, the opening is very successful as initial planning is only meant that it be simplified, however, with a good number of turnout, we just made the opening ceremony as wholesome as possible. Kudos to Andy and the singing referee, Bobet. Concerning the opening games, Jaguar has beaten Rebels. Jaguars are composed of the core champions previously AIG. On the second game, the Trinidad Warriors have beaten Kusinang Munti previously known as Chertsey. Trinidad Warriors are composed of Quiambao, Rivera, Reyes to name a few. This team, apparently is composed of players coming from as far as Warrington, Birmingham & Nottingham.
Most of the games will be played in Herschel Sports as we managed to block-book the venue. However, there are still some weeks where we will be playing at TVAC as there are Saturdays where Herschel is booked by others.
Today is week 2 of the League. Starts 2pm at Herschel.
Game1: Basingstoke vs Pedna Mobile Game2: Luton vs Crowthorne Game3: Speed Money vs Bracknell
Just dropping by everyone.
Cheers,
Gidz

What teams are in the league this year?? How many competing??
Who are the favorites to win?? I don't think that Trinidad Warrios players will turn up to every game if they are coming from so far so they better hope the local players can get to the playoffs.
How much do you reckon they are gettin paid to come down??
There will be a slight change in the fixtures as West London have merged with JUMP to join the 2009 Berkshire League. I will be posting the finalised fixtures soon as I finish doing it.
For the meantime, I have just attempted to complete the Hall of Fame of the League. It isnt 100% complete yet as I need to go through my archive.
