Controllers - undoubtedly. Better than Shohoku? mmmm...Shohoku finished 3rd runner up in the finals in their first season in 2003.

Controllers don't play like rookies...let's just hope their young shoulders don't get as big as their egos. We never where they'll be next season.

Controllers would be the Rookie team this year..

The thing is What does "Rookie team" mean.. ?? Like Shohoku in 2003 they were the best rookie team..

Basildon won the championship that year and it is their first time in the league as well.. Just asking..

Cheers Editor Good job...

Best rookie team should mean best new team to the league. However I think people tend to look at teams with young players on them as candidates. I mean the best "new team" to the league is Euston. They took the defending champs into overtime, and look like they are heading towards the playoffs. I do think Controllers look the part, but the filipino rough and ready style of the much older Euston team gets the results. That is why I think Euston is the Best Rookie team.

I think, in the past, receivers of Best Rookie team consisted of young players that have done well in the league. Otherwise, if a newly joined team consisted of experienced players then they are bound to get noticed. Just like PhilUsa in 2002 and Epsom in 2004.

So, Controllers are basically the only good Rookie team. Charlton and Sixers have experienced players.

maybe you should change it to best rookie player instead of team

awarded to the best young new player and just to be fair also have a best old timer so the rest of us don't feel left out!!!

hehehe...I should be in the running for the best old timer too...sometimes..hang on! Don't start that old timer stuff. Cos they might bring back the senior's league. The over 35's. Then the league will be boring. No competition for the young un's and no challenge for the old un's!

KAMPI tries to be fair with their awards. If they think two players deserve to be MVP's they will have one for each division and so on. And that also goes to a Rookie player and a Rookie team.

No doubt the best new team this year are Euston and Sixers though. But these teams have veteran players. So to be fair Best Rookie Awards are usually given to very good young players and teams.

Amen

This award should be for best Rookie not best Rookie Team but if its for team, it has to go to Controllers!

I remember George when he still had hair but he's so gurang he lost his hair. Ask Joey Capistrano for his secret in hair growth.

George is not just a streetballer like Lloyd Sambo. He's got game. For those that don't know kung ano ibig sabihin ng got game...it means he knows when to make those important shots and not act like a big-headed star..kung kala mo masyadong magaling. The last 5 minutes counts much more than the first 5 minutes of the game.

Keep fighting even when you think natatalo na kayo!!!
